Page 1 of 5 Thinner panels, better performance: NeoporŪ
For many decades now, StyroporŪ has been the renowned brand name for efficient thermal insulation. But even a classic can evolve. The result of intense research is NeoporŪ, the silver-gray successor product of the white foamed material StyroporŪ.
BASF AG manufactures NeoporŪ in the form of polystyrene granules that contain a blowing agent and are thus expandable. These black particles in the form of beads are then made into silver-gray foamed blocks, panels or molded parts by processing companies using conventional EPS machines.

Built-in infrared absorbers and reflectors largely prevent the heat dissipation caused by radiation. This has a positive impact on the heat conductivity.
A new, innovative technology has managed to improve the thermal insulation capacity of the foam panels made of NeoporŪ in comparison to the already outstanding thermal insulation properties of StyroporŪ rigid foams.
| In comparison to conventional EPS, NeoporŪ can achieve the same insulation performance while requiring considerably less material. |
